Can I just say that I love how both the source material and the fanworks of Homestuck so wonderfully capture the workings of platonic friendship, whether its between two dudes, a dude and a chick, or two chicks? Seriously, just seeing characters who have an emotional connection and intimacy without having to be bumping uglies is really cool. Not that I don’t like seeing some characters bump uglies, wonk wonk, but it’s just so nice to see friendships like Dirk and Roxy’s in fiction.
